Richard Merrigan, Chairman
With over 25 years of experience of managing Software Consulting and Recruitment businesses in the UK, US and Europe, Richard Merrigan started The Raretec group in the spring of 2001, after 20 years of service at Abraxas PLC. Richard then co-founded CInergy International in June 2003 with Brian Boroff. As the main Board Director responsible for Abraxas PLC's professional services growth throughout the 80's and 90's he was responsible for one of the most successful privately held IT recruitment businesses in the UK, with 1000 consultants in the field. Key UK national accounts included: Inland Revenue, British Gas, British Telecom, Lloyd Bank, Ford Motor, The Bank of England, Alcatel, Nortel, and Glaxo. Notable US accounts included Citibank, Siemens, Nortel, ATT, SAP and Qualcomm.
Brian Boroff, Managing Director
Brian Boroff is the Managing Director and co-founder of CInergy International. Based in London UK, CInergy International is a leading provider of customer acquisition and retention solutions in the global telecom marketplace. Brian formerly worked for AT&T Wireless Services where he was a founding member of the National Competitive Intelligence (CI) department. During his tenure at AT&T he worked closely with senior executives to plan and implement a world-class customer retention system used by more than 30K employees. Brian has been an active member of the Society of Competitive Intelligence Professionals (SCIP) for several years and has been accepted as an author and subject matter expert in the fields of CI technology and customer retention. He is a frequent speaker at conferences and seminars and has won numerous awards for his accomplishments in the field. He holds a B.S.B.A degree in Marketing from the University of Central Florida.
Jeff Toewe, Director
Jeffrey Toewe is CInergy's Technology Advisor and a member the Board of Directors. He is highly experienced in providing key strategic technological and information system planning capabilities to growth businesses, notably in the telecoms, wireless and software industries. His skills include defining IT requirements, provisioning IT employees, contractors and suppliers, as well as estimating, developing, managing and supporting enterprise applications, reporting and defining service delivery metrics.
Jeffrey spent eight years at AT&T Wireless / Cingular where he was involved in a wide range of software related projects including sales force automation, executive information systems, data warehousing and developing enterprise search and web technologies. Jeffrey holds a MSc in Information Systems and Software Engineering from Drexel University and a BA in Politics from Saint Joseph's University.
Ian Parker, Director
Ian is a leading authority and exponent in customer management. He has extensive experience across the disciplines of sales, marketing and customer service in both consumer and business-to-business organisations. This unique combination of expertise along with a strong values based approach to business ideally equips him to help businesses build value with their customers. Ian has spent over twenty years in major roles, particularly in the communications and media sectors. He was Director of Marketing for Mercury Communications business division; Director of Customer Contact Centres at Cable & Wireless Communications; and most recently Director of Customer Relations at Orange for four years. Ian has worked with Chief Executives, Customer Service and Marketing Directors to help develop and deploy improved customer management strategies for a number of major clients. These include ntl, T-Mobile, Cable & Wireless and Opodo.
Robert Kahn, Director
Robert Kahn is a member of the board of directors and an investor in CInergy International.
He is an active investor in private growth and mature companies in the UK, US and Europe. His current investment portfolio includes companies in the telecom services, communications, medical technology, precision engineering and property sectors. He contributes to these companies as active investor, an advisor and in board roles.
Previously, Robert was responsible for a pan-European private equity technology fund at UBS, with portfolio companies spanning across Europe and Israel. Prior to that, he was the Head of UBS' European Private Equity business. Robert's extensive career in financial services encompasses senior management responsibilities in investment banking, structured finance, general management and operations management in various countries in Europe and the US.
Robert has an MBA degree from Harvard Business School, United States, and a graduate degree n Finance and Accounting from the University of St. Gallen, Switzerland. He is married, has three children and lives in London.
Amir Azulay, Non-Executive Director
Amir Azulay is a mobile industry expert and has been involved in the mobile industry since 1999 when he co-founded the leading mobile VAS in Israel. He led the equity investment for the business and sold it to iTouch PLC in 2000. Amir remained as MD until 2003, where he led the sale of the company to the Fishman Investment Group. Subsequently Amir joined iTouch PLC management and was involved in global expansion and acquisitions. In 2007 Amir was appointed as Corporate Development Director and CCO at Muzicall and was responsible for fundraising and commercial activities of the company. In 2009, the Capital Fund appointed Amir as an NED of CInergy International where he serves to date. Amir has a BA Econ and an MBA from Tel Aviv University.

Bernard Hulme, Adviser
Bernard Hulme is a senior executive in the technology sector with a strong international track record. He has created and developed businesses in enterprise software and systems markets over more than 20 years. He has a strong background in sales, marketing and general management and has been an officer of a Nasdaq listed software company and Group CEO of an LSE listed technology company. He is an active investor in a number of technology small cap businesses and participates at both board and advisory level.
